More on MTV Censorshit We were recently contacted by Freemuse, an international organization based in Denmark that promotes the freedom of expression for musicians and composers world wide. Freemuse documents instances of violations of what it considers free musical expression. As such, they have put together an article on MTV’s recent practices of banning and censoring a large number of music videos with any references to so called ‘sensitive issues’. Which includes anything from war images to – get this – images of peace marches. The article mentions our discussions with Freemuse on our Yadein II video which MTV Pakistan refused to air.
